Jersey Shore

I miss the Jersey Shore! I have been watching the seasons over on Netflixs again and I forgot how much I love this show. So many people hate the Jersey Shore though, they say its stupid, trashy, pointless, dirty, and the list goes on and on. Several of my friends seriously hate it. But I kid you not, every time they watch the show they CRACK UP, yet after they say "that was so stupid." Yes the show is random and stupid sometimes, but that's the whole point. You aren't watching it to learn some great valuable life lesson, you're watching to have a good time and laugh. To quote Deena, "this is such a good time."

I will stand by the Jersey Shore forever. I wish the show was still on the air, it makes my day happier just watching them. Snooki and Jwoww is okay, but it's just not the same...I miss the whole crew.

I left for college at the beginning of September and the day before I left I hung out with my ex-boyfriend, that night he promised me he would call me on my birthday. Four weeks later on my birthday, do I actually receive a phone call...even a text? of course not. Even though we weren't together, it still hurt because he promised and he was still a friend that I cared a lot about. 
Now flash forward to today, and it's his birthday tomorrow. I've been thinking a lot about whether or not I will contact him. As mean as it sounds, but I want him to feel how I felt when he forgot my birthday. But at the same time, I want to text him and prove to him that I'm better then him. It's stupid because I don't even know why I'm giving this such thought. He didn't give any thought on my birthday, he completely forgot it. Even days later he still didn't remember till I reminded him. Why do I continue to care about this person who constantly treats me like crap? Why do I continue to do this to myself? Why am I still attached? Why can't I just let go?

Disconnected

I feel like I'm not meant to be at school right now, I feel so disconnected from everything happening here. I'm trying to focus but I can't keep my mind off what's happening at home right now. Having your dad in the hospital because of extreme anxiety and your close family friend admitted to the hospital because of cancer is really hard. It's just hard to focus on what's happening here, and continue to do such meaningless tasks compared to lives that I really care about. I know school is important and they want me to stay and succeed here, but it's just hard thinking about what I'm leaving behind right now. I don't like the idea of coming home in April and Carlas face not being there anymore. If we lose her, I don't know what my family will do. I can't go home, so I just need to focus as much as I can and keep them in my prayers.

Waiting...

It's hard to wait around for something you know is going to happen, but you don't know when it will. You get tired of the waiting, hoping, yearning, and you start to settle for less then what you want. You figure that having something is better then nothing, at least for the time being right? But the question is, will settling for less then you deserve just keep pushing what you want, and know will happen, further and further down the road? Are you stopping the progress of what you're waiting for by settling for something you don't really want? It's a tricky cycle. Seeing everyone around you progress doesn't make it any easier. You start to question, what is wrong with me? Why can't I have what they have? When will I get what I was promised? Waiting is hard. It's like watching sand fall through an hourglass, hoping that with each drop of sand, time will move faster.

SNOWWWW!

Okay so I'm from Pennsylvania. I'm used to colder, snowier and worse winters then Utah, but this winter has been absolutely awful so far. I think what makes it so bad is I have to walk to classes and walk in the snow. In Salt Lake at the LDSBC you walk to your car, drive into the parking garage and walk into the building. You hardly even deal with the snow at all. But walking up a HUGE hill in the icy, snow is awful. I've already totally biffed it on ice and fell straight on my butt into the snow. Not to mention, getting all cute for class and then getting there, you're completely wet and a hot mess. But I have the solution for my problems. Either BYU needs escalators/elevators on south campus or they need more student parking. The teachers shouldn't be the only ones allowed to park on campus, us students need some better solutions if you expect us to show up to class in the middle of a snow storm.

Pretty Little Liars

What is Pretty Little Liars you ask? Well, it's only the best television drama out there right now.

Quick synopsis of the show: 

Basically four best friends are be tortured by a mysterious person named A. Their best friend Alison was murdered (supposedly) and the girls are trying to figure out who killed her. Basically they're trying to be detectives and figure out a murder, but this A person is making it really difficult. 

Now that we got the basics down. Let's discuss tonights crazy episode.

Hope you don't mind well I rant.

-Spencer found out her boyfriend is apart of the A-team on their anniversary. WHAT?!

-Meredith went all psycho and drugged Aria and locked her in a basement. Crazzzzzy lady!

-Byron supposedly didn't kill Alison, so Aria burned the evidence in the fire. Stupid Aria!

-Love the idea of Caleb and Paige working together to take down A. DO IT, DO IT!

-Melissa was on the porch the night Alison died? Of course they threw that loop in there...

-Mona is crazy and I hate her. That's all I have to say about that.

-Spencer bawling on Tobys steps at the end. WAHHH NO! :(

Oh and let's just add to the crazy episode by throwing in an even crazier promo for next week. Looks like Aria and Ezra break up. But I think he's totally apart of the A-team, so that's okay with me.

New Town. New School. New Life.

I survived my first week at BYU!

I've been living and going to school at the LDS Business College in Salt Lake City for the past 3 years, so I wasn't really sure what to expect when I moved to Provo. I’ve heard all the Provo/BYU stereotypes, so I really wasn’t sure how I’d like living down here. I knew that no matter what, this move was definitely going to be a change.

What were some of the changes you ask? Lets make a list.

• Class Size - (I have 800 students in some of my classes here at BYU. That’s literally like half of the LDS Business College)

• New Ward - (I have never had my ward all be in my apartment building before. So convenient, I love it!)
 

• Roommates - (I have been living with my best friend for 3 years, so picking up and living with brand new people has definitely been an adjustment. But I love all my roommates; I really lucked out with amazing girls)
 

• The Hill - (Walking up that huge steep hill everyday going to class is a killer. Parking at BYU is absolutely awful compared to LDSBC)

• Very Quiet - (Provo is definitely a quieter town then Salt Lake. I’m used to crazy loud roommates, it’s definitely much more mellow here)

Overall, I think I am going to like BYU. It just takes time to adjust. I just have to remember that I felt the exact same way when I moved to Salt Lake 3 years ago.
